Christmas lights installed all over Gwinnett County

Holiday lights hung and taken down for you, from Lawrenceville and Duluth to Suwanee, Snellville, and Dacula

Gwinnett is subdivision country, and that is our favorite kind of work. Text us one photo of your house with the address. You get a written quote back, the lights go up in a day with nothing nailed into the house, and in January we take it all down. No ladder in your garage, no bin of knotted strands in the attic.

Sixteen cities, one very busy December

Gwinnett has sixteen incorporated cities and a lot of unincorporated ground between them. Lawrenceville is the county seat. Peachtree Corners is the largest city. Then come Duluth, Norcross, Snellville, Suwanee, Lilburn, Grayson, Dacula, Sugar Hill, and Berkeley Lake, plus Buford, Braselton, Auburn, and Loganville along the county lines, and Mulberry, which voters approved in 2024. Most people here give directions by the nearest exit on I-85 or GA-316, and that is how we plan routes too.

The housing is mostly what you would expect from a county that grew fast from the 1980s on: subdivision after subdivision of two-story brick-front and siding homes, cul-de-sacs, front-entry garages, an amenity center with a pool, and an HOA. Some are huge. Hamilton Mill in Dacula is 27 neighborhoods and more than 2,200 homes built around a golf course. Others are a single loop of forty houses off a county road. Closer in, around Lilburn and the older parts of Lawrenceville, most homes went up between the 1960s and 80s, and you find ranches and split-levels on bigger, leafier lots.

That mix matters for a quote. A newer Suwanee two-story might have 150 feet of roofline broken into five or six runs, while a Lilburn ranch is one long, easy line at gutter height. We measure from your photo, cut every strand to length, and send you an itemized quote with the roofline, shrubs, trees, and extras listed separately. You pick what stays.

December is busy here. Lawrenceville lights the big tree on the historic courthouse lawn on Thanksgiving evening, Suwanee does its holiday weekend at Town Center Park, Duluth gathers on the Town Green, and Snellville has its parade and tree lighting at the Towne Green. If you want your house finished before your own street fills up with relatives, book early. Our install season runs from late October to about mid-December and the early dates go first.

  • HOA covenants, handled

Gwinnett HOAs often set windows for when displays can go up and when they must come down. Tell us your rules and we build the install and takedown dates around them.

  • Matching streets

When neighbors book together, we keep the bulb type, color, and spacing the same, so the whole cul-de-sac reads as one look instead of six different ideas.

  • Clips, never nails

Vinyl soffits and painted fascia do not like holes. We use shingle clips, gutter clips, and wraps for columns, and they all come off clean in January.

  • Timer set before we leave

Every install ends with a timer set and tested. On at dusk, off when you want. You do not have to remember a thing all season.

Hamilton Mill and the big master-planned communities

Hamilton Mill and the big master-planned communities

The large master-planned neighborhoods in northeast Gwinnett, like Hamilton Mill with its 27 sub-neighborhoods around the golf course, have a lot of the same house in slightly different versions. That is good news for a quote. Repeat floor plans mean the gables break up in predictable ways, and the outlets tend to be in the same spots. Many of these homes look best with the full front roofline, the garage outlined, and a row of lit shrubs along the foundation. If you want every piece in one visit, the whole-house package is the easy button.

Older ranches around Lilburn

Older ranches around Lilburn

The southwest side of the county is older. Most Lilburn homes were built between the 1960s and the 80s, and the streets away from Old Town are full of vintage ranches on wide lots with big pines and oaks. A ranch roofline is long and low, which makes it one of the easiest houses to light well. One straight run across the front, the porch posts wrapped, and a couple of tall trunks lit in the yard looks great from the street. The big trees are the star here, and tree and shrub wrapping is quoted by the tree so you can choose one or five.

Small businesses on the town greens

Small businesses on the town greens

Several Gwinnett cities have rebuilt their downtowns around a green: Duluth, Suwanee, Snellville, and the square in Lawrenceville. That means more shops, restaurants, and offices with people walking by after dark in December. A lit roofline or window outline tells people you are open. We install before or after business hours, set the timer to your schedule, and remove everything in January. See small business Christmas lights for details.

Takedown, storage, and a clean garage

Takedown, storage, and a clean garage

Nobody wants to spend a cold January Saturday on a ladder. After the holidays we come back, take everything down, pull every clip, and coil and label each strand by where it goes on your house. We store them until next season, so your garage has room for the car again. Next fall, the same strands go back up on the same runs.

Questions from Gwinnett homeowners

Plain answers for Lawrenceville, Duluth, Suwanee, Snellville, Dacula, and the rest of the county.

Which parts of Gwinnett do you cover?

The whole county. That includes every city from Peachtree Corners to Dacula and the unincorporated areas in between. If your address is in Gwinnett or right on the line in Buford, Braselton, or Loganville, send a photo and we will quote it.

Can you light our subdivision entrance too?

Yes. Entrance monuments, the trees by the sign, and the amenity center are a common add for Gwinnett HOAs. We quote those to the board or the management company directly. Our HOA and entrance lighting page covers how that works.

My whole street wants lights. Can we book together?

Please do. Each house still gets its own written quote, but we can schedule the street on the same day and keep the look consistent from house to house. It is also easier on the neighbors when the ladders only show up once.

Do the lights use a lot of electricity?

Not really. We use commercial-grade LED strands, which draw a small fraction of what old incandescent bulbs did. A typical front roofline and some shrubs usually run off one exterior outlet. Our post on how much electricity Christmas lights use walks through the math.

Do I have to be home for the install?

No. As long as we can reach an outdoor outlet and the gate is open, we can do the whole job while you are at work. Just leave the timer outlet clear and tell us which gate to use.
