This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to the information you give Christmas Lights for Atlanta (“we,” “us”) when you text us, email us, call us, or use the form on christmaslightsforatlanta.com. The short version: we use it to quote and hang your lights, and that is it.
The short list of what we collect
- What you send us. Your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property, the photos you text or upload, and anything you write in your message, such as the look you want or your HOA’s rules.
- What we write down while working for you. Your quote, your install and takedown dates, notes about your house (where the outlets are, which gate to use, a dog in the backyard), and a record of the lights we are storing for you between seasons.
- What your browser sends any website. Like every site, ours is delivered by a web server that keeps basic logs, such as the page requested and the time. We do not use those logs to identify you.
Analytics and cookies
At launch, this site does not run analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not set tracking cookies. We may add a website analytics tool later to see which pages are useful. If we do, we will update this page first and name the tool here, along with how to opt out.
How we use your information
We use it to write your quote, schedule your install and takedown, answer your questions, fix a dark section when you text us about one, and store your lights between seasons. If you are a customer, we may reach out next fall to ask if you want your lights hung again. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information, rent it, or trade it. It passes through the ordinary tools we use to run the business, such as our phone and text service, our email provider, and the service that delivers the website form to our inbox. We would share it with anyone else only if the law required us to.
Your photos
Photos you send for a quote are used to write that quote and plan your install. We do not post them on this website or anywhere else without asking you first.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and customer records for as long as they are useful for serving you, which for returning customers usually means from one season to the next. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we need to keep a record for tax or legal reasons.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable care with what you send us. No email, text, or website system is perfectly secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or passwords through the form or by text.
Your choices

Children
This site and our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date at the top.
