Christmas lights for small businesses

You have a business to run in December, and hanging lights off a ladder before opening is not on the list. We light storefronts, offices, restaurants, and the trees out front, set a timer to your hours, fix anything that goes dark, and take it all down in January. Text us a photo of your building for a free, itemized quote.

Front steps and entry lined with warm Christmas lights at night

Lights that bring people through the door

Holiday lights on a business do a simple job. They tell people driving past that you are open, that it is a nice place to stop, and that someone cares about the building. A lit shop on a dark strip catches the eye. A restaurant with lit trees by the patio looks warmer from the parking lot.

Here is what we light for small businesses:

  • Rooflines and parapets on standalone buildings and small strip centers.
  • Storefront windows and doors, outlined so the entry reads at night.
  • Columns, posts, and railings at the entrance or along a porch.
  • Trees and shrubs in front beds and parking lot islands.
  • Wreaths and garland at the door, if you want the finished look.

Everything is held with clips and tension wraps. Nothing gets drilled, nailed, or stapled into your building, which matters a lot if you lease and your landlord has opinions about the facade.

This service is built for the kinds of businesses you pass every day around the metro: a small office in Smyrna, a shop near the historic square in Marietta, a restaurant along a busy stretch in Roswell, an office off Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, a boutique in Dunwoody Village in Dunwoody, a salon in a Gwinnett County strip center. Each one gets its own itemized quote.

  • Timer set to your hours

On at dusk, off after close, or whatever schedule fits. Nobody on staff has to remember a switch.

  • Nothing drilled into the building

Clips and tension wraps only. Good news for your facade, and for your lease.

  • Fixes during the season

A section goes dark? Text a photo. It goes on the next route, so you can keep running the business.

  • Down in January

We take it all down after the holidays, coil and label it, and offer storage until next season.

Here is how a business install works

Here is how a business install works

  1. Photos. Text us a photo of the front of the building, the parking lot view if it matters, and the address.
  2. Quote. We send a free, itemized quote. Every element is its own line.
  3. Scheduling. We pick an install date and time that does not get in the way of your customers.
  4. Install. We measure, clip, wrap, test from the street, and set the timer to your hours.
  5. Season. Text a photo if anything goes dark.
  6. January. Everything comes down so the storefront is back to normal.
Rooflines and storefront outlines

Rooflines and storefront outlines

A lit roofline on a standalone building works the same way it does on a house. We measure each run, cut LED strands to fit, and clip them on. For strip-center storefronts with no gutter, we usually outline the windows and door instead, so the lit shape frames your entry.

Our roofline page covers bulb styles and colors. Warm white feels welcoming for restaurants and shops. Cool white reads clean and bright on modern offices.

Trees, beds, and parking lot islands

Trees, beds, and parking lot islands

A lot of businesses have a few trees in front beds or parking lot islands. Wrapped trunks on those trees are one of the easiest ways to light up a property that is mostly asphalt. They show from the road, they look good all season, and they do not touch the building at all.

We wrap them the same way we wrap trees for homes. Our tree and shrub wrapping page has more on how that goes.

Wreaths, garland, and the front door

Wreaths, garland, and the front door

For businesses with a front porch, columns, or a covered entry, a few extra pieces go a long way. Wrapped columns frame the entrance like the ones in this photo. A wreath on the door and garland along a railing make the entry feel finished up close, where customers actually stand.

Each of those shows up as its own line on the quote, so you can start small this year and add more next season.

A quick checklist before you text us

A quick checklist before you text us

A few answers make the quote faster and more accurate:

  • Do you own the building or lease it? If you lease, does the landlord need to sign off?
  • Where is the nearest outdoor outlet, and is it on a circuit that stays on after hours?
  • What hours do you want the lights on?
  • Are there trees in front beds or parking lot islands that belong to you or to the property?
  • Do you want it all up before a certain weekend, like a holiday open house or a sale?

Send those with your photo and we can usually quote without a second round of questions. Busy December weeks fill early for businesses too, so starting the conversation in the fall helps. If you run a shop in Cumming, Lawrenceville, or an office in Johns Creek, the process is exactly the same.

Small business lighting questions

What owners and managers ask us before the season.

Can you install before or after business hours?

Tell us what works for you when we quote. Roofline and tree work is usually fine during the day since it happens outside. If the entry or patio is busy, we can talk about timing so we are not in the way of your customers. We will confirm the plan before install day.

My landlord is strict about the building. Is that a problem?

Usually not, because nothing is drilled, nailed, or screwed into the building. Clips and tension wraps come off clean in January. If your lease requires landlord approval for any exterior decoration, get that first. We can describe the plan in writing so you have something to send.

What moves the quote for a business?

The same things as a house: how many feet of roofline or window you want lit, how high it is, how many trees and how tall, and any specialty pieces like wreaths or garland. A single storefront is a small job. A standalone restaurant with a lit roofline and six parking lot trees is a bigger one. The quote is free and itemized.

Can the timer match our hours?

Yes. We set it at install to whatever schedule you pick. Many businesses like the lights on from dusk until a bit after closing, so the building still looks open to people driving by in the evening.

Do you do the owner's house too?

We do. Plenty of owners book their home at the same time. Each gets its own quote. Have a look at our whole-house package for what a home install includes.
